Cave drawings?

What are bloggers doing? I was thinking about this and came to the conclusion that we're doing the same thing man has done for thousands of years. Blogging is really just electronic cave drawing. We're scratching our thought, daily activities and lives on a virtual wall. When it comes down to it we never really change, I guess. We've always wanted a way to say "I'm here" and let those who stumble across it later know we were.

I was thinking about anthropologists hundreds of years from now coming across backups of Blogspot.com. After they figured out how to access the media (because who will have cd roms, tape backups or the same kind of hard drives then?) will the information we put down really have meaning? Will it give them a glimpse into life in the 21st century? Or will they think we were all just a conceited, self-important society? Stay tuned...

Creation

I was surprised when a google search for "Mental Fung Shui" turned up no hits. So I have had a blog name. Now if I can only come up with something interesting to write about.

It seems a little strange to me keeping an online diary like this. Almost too personal. Hopefully these feelings go away with time and practice. We shall see how it goes.
